The Birth of an Idea
Silly Goose was born out of one of those all-too-familiar travel mishaps. Picture this: I was sitting in an airport lounge, ready to catch a flight, when I realized I’d left my charging cable at home… again. It was at the DFNI conference in Barcelona, surrounded by presentations from other travel retail categories, that the idea really clicked. I thought, “Why isn’t anyone treating cables with the same care and curation as these big-ticket items?”

Why We Exist
That’s how Silly Goose came to life: to solve the universal, often-overlooked problem of forgotten charging cables. We realized that charging cables are a $15–20 billion global category with huge potential in travel retail. With 43% of travellers forgetting their cables, we wanted to curate a range that’s not only easy to find but actually a delight to use.

What’s in a Name?
So why “Silly Goose”? In English, calling someone a “silly goose” is a lighthearted way of saying they’ve made a simple mistake — like forgetting a cable. But while our name is playful, our quality isn’t a joke. We’ve built an Apple-esque range of cables that are simple, high-quality, and absolutely reliable — turning a traveller’s minor mishap into a quick, stylish fix.

We’re here to transform the way travel retail sees charging accessories. Think of us as the Apple-esque curators of travel cables — fewer SKUs, better quality, and a solution that ensures no traveller has to be a “silly goose” about their tech again.
